While representing only 2 percent of the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions, the U.S. airlines are committed to continuing to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions through technology, operations, sustainable fuel and infrastructure advances, coupled with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). We are vigorously pursuing the deployment of sustainable alternative aviation fuels (SAF) through the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative® and other collaborative programs.
